Ever since I started Happybeams Interiors, I’ve dreamt of creating a way to give back —something that would use the power of design to make a real difference in people’s lives. Before becoming an interior designer, I spent four years working in the charity sector, and what stayed with me most were the incredible fundraisers I met; people who gave their time, energy and heart to help others.

That same spirit is what inspired the Makeover Mission. Over the years, I’ve met so many people who go above and beyond for everyone else, but who never stop to do something for themselves. Whether they’re caring for family, supporting their community, or simply juggling a lot, their own needs often come last.

​

In 2023, when our dog Oti became paralysed, it was a hugely difficult time for our family. It really opened my eyes to how much our surroundings can affect our wellbeing. I felt so grateful to have the knowledge to make simple changes at home that brought some calm into the chaos, and it made me think of all the people who don’t have that kind of support, especially during tough times.

So, the Happybeams Makeover Mission was born.

A chance to give something back to someone who truly deserves it. To create a space that makes their life a little easier, brings them a sense of calm, and shows just how appreciated they are.

Because the people who give the most often ask for the least —and we think it’s time they got a little love in return.
