15 Of The Best Interior Design Coffee Table Books

Giving or receiving a beautiful book is a winner on so many levels.

For the receiver, it's an instant stylish addition to their home, they'll feel inspired by the stunning imagery, maybe even discover new ways to elevate their home both functionally and aesthetically, from the top players in the interior design industry.

If you are gifting a beautiful book, firstly (other than a box) does it get any better when it comes to wrapping?

But more importantly, there are so many gorgeous interiors books to choose from, it will show how well you know your recipient, by choosing one to suit their style or perhaps to answer their current burning design questions.

Here I have listed 15 of my favourite coffee table books, that all look great on the outside as well as the inside. You'll find all the links you need, and I hope there's something here for everyone!

MY TOP 3 | THE MOST HELPFUL INTERIOR DESIGN BOOKS I'VE FOUND

(That still look great on display)

1. Happy Inside by Michelle Ogundehin // 2. The Interior Design Handbook by Frida Ramstedt // 3. Mad About The House 101 Interior Design Answers by Kate Watson-Smyth

These three books cover everything from how a home makes you feel, the practicalities of making the most out of your space, right through to colours, lighting and the finishing touches.

If you're looking for a book to guide you through the design process and help you to create the home of your dreams, these three will not disappoint.

Take a look inside on your chosen bookstore website, or even better if you can visit your local book shop (if and when it is safe to do so, of course!).

FOR THE NEUTRAL LOVER | THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COVERS THAT WILL LOOK GOOD ANYWHERE

1. Eat Drink Nap by Soho House // 2. Scandi Rustic by Rebecca Lawson & Reena Simon // 3. The Kinfolk Home by Nathan Williams // 4. Make Life Beautiful by Syd & Shea McGee // 5. For The Love Of White by Chrissie Rucker

Out of this selection, I currently have the first two (which are even more gorgeous in person!), and the other three are firmly on my wishlist.

If you're looking for something to bring some elegance and effortless style to a display in your home, look no further. So much inspiration inside too!

FOR A POP OF COLOUR | INJECT SOME COLOUR TO YOUR SHELVES + YOUR HOME

1. Extraordinary Interiors by Jane Rockett & Lucy St George // 2. Mad About The House How To Decorate Your Home With Style by Kate Watson-Smyth // 3. Farrow & Ball Recipes For Decorating by Joa Studholme // 4. The Monocle Guide To Cosy Homes by Gestalten // 5. Home Sweet Rented Home by Medina Grillo

Here you have so much inspiration, brilliant design advice all with a pop of colour for your book shelf.

I can vouch for #1, #2 and #4 and would absolutely love to get my hands on the Farrow & Ball book for some gorgeous colour combinations.

Medina Grillo is the queen when it comes to jazzing up a rental home. This book is packed with incredible ideas (which you can apply to a home you own too!).

LET'S GET ORGANISED | THESE BOOKS WILL GET YOUR HOUSE IN SHIP SHAPE

1. An Edited Life by Anna Newton // 2. The Home Edit Life by Clea Shearer & Joanna Teplin

This year more than ever, there has been a surge of decluttering and organising, and as we spend more time in our homes, the need for everything to have a place is becoming a higher priority for many of us.

Having an organised home is key to feeling calm and enjoying our time there, and it also helps to create a more pulled together, stylish space. Win win!

In Anna Newton's book there are also so many useful tips on organising your life, from your finances, diary and your wardrobe. Great for someone looking to get everything together!

Hashtag Authentic by Sara Tasker

As a bonus 16th recommendation, Sara Tasker's book isn't strictly an interiors book but she gives such excellent advice for finding your creativity and how to capture it in your photographs. Plus it just looks fab on a book shelf amongst the rest of these recommendations!

Hope you found this list helpful, whether you're buying a gift for a loved one or treating yourself!

Head over to my Instagram to check out my reel of some of these books, and let me know in the comments which you'd love to get this Christmas! Thanks so much for reading, - Jess x
